Hair Removal

Hair removal by laser and Intense Pulsed Light uses selective photothermolysis to destroy the regeneration of cells of the hair follicle. The light is absorbed by melanin in the hair, creating heat that travels down the hair into the hair follicle. The structures of the hair follicle are destroyed by the heat, preventing re-growth of hair from the follicle.

Tattoo Removal

Successful removal of a tattoo in laser treatment requires the absorption of light by the particles of tattoo pigment in the skin. For safe treatment of a tattoo, without damaging the surrounding skin, a very short pulse of light is required, which can only be generated by an actively Q-Switched laser system.

Treating Acne

Acne is a disorder of the skin's sebaceous glands that affects over 80% of the population aged 14-30. Although commonly considered to be an adolescence problem, 25% of the people affected by acne in their teens will go on to develop permanent scars. The effects on personal appearance caused by acne and the resultant scarring can cause significant psychological, social and occupational problems.

Pigment Removal

Intense Pulsed Light offers a very effective treatment for pigmented marks such as age/liver spots and freckles that appear on the face and hands. Laser treatment can remove deeper, larger areas of pigmentation such as birthmarks.

Red Vein Removal

Intense Pulsed Light offers a breakthrough for thread veins and permanent red flushing as it can effectively and quickly remove veins that are too small for other removal techniques. Laser treatment can be used to remove deeper, thicker veins that can appear around the nose or on the legs.
